Individual Tutoring
Wise Owl Physics Tutors provides tuition for the following throughout the year, including school holidays:
- A-level Physics, including help with CPACs
- IB Physics, including help with Internal Assessments and Physics based extended essays
- AP Physics
- IGCSE/GCSE Physics
We also offer focused exam technique sessions to build confidence quickly:
- Identifying and implementing effective revision techniques
- Interpreting questions
- Help with synoptic questions and long response answers requiring literacy skills
- Handling stress and nerves
- Time management and personal organisation
- Memorisation and recall techniques
Evaluation
The first tutor session is free and allows us to evaluate your child's exact needs and to set realistic goals for the tuition. It is also an opportunity for you and your child to get to know us.
Contact with school (if requested)
Where possible we like to contact and stay in contact with your child's teacher at school as this helps us to have a constructive and coordinated approach to the extra tuition. However, this is not mandatory.
Tutor lesson
As appropriate, the tutor lesson will consist of explanations of theory and concepts, practical exercises, discussions, past exam paper practice, setting and evaluating homework exercises. We take special care to work with your child's individual learning style. The tutorial session would normally last one hour with a short rest break in the middle if required.
Regular feedback
Students receive written feedback on all their work. In addition, each month we provide feedback to parents in the form of a short report summarising the work done; the successes and areas to work on; and the work for the coming month.

- Up to and including year 11 (GCSE): £30 per one hour session
- Sixth form tuition (A-Level and IB): £40 per one hour session
